Seattle Trade & Technology Center, a five-story plus penthouse
Class A office building, is located within the Seattle Waterfront
district. The 335,154 square foot building has an adjacent 600-stall
parking garage that is accessed via a sky bridge from the second
floor of the property. The building offers views of Elliott Bay
and the Olympic Mountains and has numerous tenant amenities within
walking distance.
The Seattle Trade & Technology Center was originally built between
1917 and 1925 as a warehouse and manufacturing facility for the
American Can Corporation. In 1976 the building was renovated and
converted to an apparel mart. An extensive $16 million renovation
in 1998 converted the building to Class A office space.
The Seattle Trade & Technology Center serves as the headquarters
for RealNetworks, Inc., a leading creator of internet based digital
media services and software. The company occupies approximately
80% of the building. The remainder of the property is leased by
the Art Institute of Seattle for its culinary arts and fashion design
disciplines.
